Illustrated History Walks
All walks start and finish at the Heritage Centre and the ticket includes refreshments on return. The walks are at a gentle pace and we stop along the way at regular intervals to share photographs of what the town was like at different points in history. The walks happen on a Friday evening and are then repeated on a Sunday morning.
NEW - We want to make sure that everyone can access the history of the town and some people have said that although they would love to come on a walk, they are worried about keeping up or about being too slow for the group . In light of this we are now offering 'seated walks'! Book a place and then come along to the Heritage Centre where the same information and images from each walk will be shared - along with a cuppa - all in the comfort of a chair! Just £5 per person
