Are you enjoying a holiday in or near Aylsham? Want to find out more about the history of this fascinating town? Why not book a bespoke guided illustrated walk which you can enjoy with your family or group? Our guide will use archive photos to help you to imagine what life was like in Aylsham and to see how the town has changed.
What our visitors say ...
David and I had a very interesting guided walk with Jayne this morning. Lots of facts to digest about the history of the town which we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Thanks so much Jayne and keep up the good work. We didn’t manage to see the inside of the Heritage centre as it was too busy but we’ll have to come back another day for our next fix of Aylsham.
My family had a really great time on the heritage tour of Aylsham focusing mainly on Hungate Street, the Market Place and Red Lion Street (with other points of interest pointed out along the way). Jayne gave an informed, relaxed and very entertaining history of Aylsham along with a collection of old photos to illustrate the talk and I learned so much, even though I grew up here. It’s also great value for money. What a great resource the Heritage Centre (and Jayne) is and we will definitely be coming on another tour when we return. Many thanks.
